English Program in Korea

"Your place of work may be in a school, Office of Education, training center, English Experience Center or any other educational institute located in the jurisdiction of the Office of Education in South Korea. You may be designated to work in multiple locations and the grade level of your students will not be made available until after your arrival to Korea. Duties include: assisting Korean teachers with their English classes, and/or jointly conduct English classes with Korean teachers, and/or extracurricular activities or English camps; conducting English conversation classes for Korean students and teachers; preparing teaching materials for English language education; assisting in developing teaching materials for English language education."

Process Timeline:

EPIK hires at two different times of year.

Fall Term Dates Spring Term Dates Event
February 1, 2020 August 2020 Application Opens
Feb - Jul Aug - Jan Applicants submit an application directly to EPIK
Apr - Jul Oct - Jan Applicants who have passed the initial application screening stage will be invited to a Skype interview with EPIK.
Apr - Jul Oct - Jan Applicants who successfully pass the interview will need to prepare and submit their required documents directly to EPIK for screening and review.
End of July 2020 End of January 2021
Applicants who submit all required documents correctly will have their application recommended to either a metropolitan or provincial office of education. The offices of education will review the application and make a final decision on a submitted application. 
Applicants who have been selected by an office of education will receive documents necessary for applying for their necessary visa.
