Gates Cambridge Scholarship

According to the Gates Cambridge Scholarship website, the aim of the Gates Cambridge program is to build a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others. The criteria for the scholarship are outstanding intellectual ability, excellent reasons for choice of course at Cambridge, a commitment to improving the lives of others, and leadership potential. International students are eligible to apply, except for citizens of the United Kingdom.

Eligibility

To apply, you must be: 
  1. A citizen of any country outside the United Kingdom
  2. Applying to pursue one of the following full-time residential courses of study at the University of Cambridge: PhD (three year research-only degree); MSc or MLitt (two year research-only degree); or a one year postgraduate course (e.g. MPhil, LLM, MASt, Diploma, MBA, etc.), though there are some exceptions.

When to Apply

Applicants should begin the process in the Spring/Summer prior to the Fall in which they plan to submit the application, though they can begin working with CUSE at any time.
