Sorin Scholar Katie Gallagher Receives 2018 Goldwater Scholarship
Katie Gallagher, a CUSE Sorin Scholar, has received the 2018 Goldwater Scholarship.Named for former U.S. Sen. Barry Goldwater, the Goldwater Scholarship encourages outstanding undergraduate students to pursue careers in the fields of mathematics, the natural sciences and engineering. It is the pre-eminent scholarship of its type in those fields. Read the story here.

Sorin Scholar Roge Karma Receives 2018 Senior Thesis Award
The Paul Bartholomew Prize for the best senior thesis in the field of political theory goes to Roge Karma for his thesis, "Civic Education as Estrangement and Love: Rethinking National Narratives:" advised by Mark Roche.

Sorin Scholar Grace Watkins Receives 2016 Truman Scholarship
Grace Watkins, a CUSE Sorin Scholar, received 2016 Truman Scholarship.Established in 1975 as a living memorial to President Harry S. Truman, the prestigious scholarship includes $30,000 in graduate study funds, priority admission and supplemental financial aid at select institutions, leadership training, career and graduate school counseling, and internship opportunities within the federal government.
